OPINION: Westfield Homes Being Torn Down To Build McMansions

I live on a block-long cul-de-sac that now has had four homes torn down with ridiculously large homes built in their place.  The most recent is enormous, dwarfing the two good-sized colonials on either side.

They are now getting ready to begin building another monstrosity one door up.  These homes are ruining the personality of our neighborhood and affecting our property values.

I would like to know if there are any zoning and building requirements for these horrors.  Not only are they ruining our neighborhoods, but they are creating constant inconveniences for the families in the area when they block the entire streets.

I always thought that Westfield was supposed to maintain a precolonial atmosphere, not a development of the ugliest homes I have ever seen.
