Westfield Army Veteran, Howard Robert Billson, Dies at 84

Billson served int he US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Howard Robert Billson, 84, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 9 am until 10:30 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at Holy Trinity RC Church with interment at Fairview Cemetery. 

Mr. Billson was born in Plainfield and grew up in Westfield and later lived in Avenel. For the last ten years he resided in Greensboro, MD.  Mr. Billson served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was the co-owner of Bob & Bill Shell in Rahway for 40 years before retiring.

He is survived by his five children; Robert, Terry Brooks, Karen, Peter (owner of ELB Internet Services) and Howard.  He will also be deeply missed by his six grandchildren; Kelly Gutierrez, Katie, Josh & Ryan Brooks, Zachary & Gabriella Billson along with six great grandchildren; Damien, Kayla, Jasmine, Jenna, Tyler and Adien.
