The new business opened Saturday, July 7 at 317 South Ave. in Westfield.

After months of hard work, Paul and Daniela Silva have opened the third location of their sports apparrel and accessories business. opened its doors at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 7 and offered free Nike t-shirts to the first 50 customers.

Westfield residents, the Silvas, who owns two other stores in Newark and Harrison, had been hoping to open in mid-May but preparing the space took a bit longer than anticipated.

Specializing in soccer footwear, apparel and equipment, Pegasus will also carry lacrosse, basketball, baseball, and tennis footwear as well as swimming accessories.

Store employees, who were friendly and eager to assist, told Patch business had been "good" Saturday morning.  

Free parking is available. Twelve spaces are located in the lot adjacent to the building. Pegasus will be open Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
