Westfield Community Band Begins Summer Concert Series Thursday

Finally Westfielders will have more to listen to in Mindowaskin Park than the buzzing of cicadas when the Westfield Community Band begins its summer concert series Thursday.

Under the direction of Dr. Thomas Connors, the band will perform at 7:30 p.m. on four Thursday evenings, including June 27, July 4, 11, and 18. Established in 1892, the band's mission is to preserve the history of community bands as well as enrich and entertain the public through live performances. 

All concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets if they wish.
