Apple Fest Returns to Westfield This October

The fifth annual Westfield Historical Society event will take place on Oct. 5.

Fall is finally here and in just a few weekends the Westfield Historical Society will host its fifth annual Apple Fest on the lawn of the historic Reeve House.

Events of Apple Fest include tours of the Reeve house and grounds, pumpkin painting, face painting, a children’s art contest, food sales and much more.

A featured event of Apple Fest is the apple pie contest. Local chefs will judge the pies and following the judge’s decisions, pie slices will be for sale. A pie category for men and children will also be added this year.  Members of the DAR will again be helping the effort by making pies for the sale.

Residents can learn how to submit a pie by checking out the Historical Society's website.

This year, a 1910 themed Apple Café will be unveiled, which will feature quiche and seasonal salad, as well as hot dogs for children, according to the Historical Society.

Grandma Ginny's Trinkets and Treasures sale will be held in conjunction with Apple Fest.
