Town Book Store Says Thanks for Shopping Indie

East Broad Street shop is one of the last two remaining independent bookstores in Union County.

The big retailers have Black Friday and the online retailers have Cyber Monday. For the past three years, small business owners now have their kickoff to the holiday shopping season with Small Business Saturday.  Starting Saturday Nov. 24, customers will receive 20 percent off select 2012 Indie Next List Titles (see attached pdf) at The Town Book Store. These titles are independent bookseller favorites and sure to make great gifts this holiday season. This offer will continue through the East Broad Street bookseller's week-long 'Thanks for Shopping Indie' celebration. Westfield's Small Businesses Offer Big Bargains on Black Friday

Shoppers can find deals right in town.

The saying "the early bird gets the worm" is never more true than on Black Friday. But what if that bird wants bagels instead?  Manhattan Bagel is just one of Westfield's small businesses offering an incentive to those shoppers who get a jump on the season. Despite her love of cooking, Sara Shaunnessey said when she was commuting to and from Manhattan the last thing she wanted to do at the end of the day was grocery shop and then prepare a meal. The Central Avenue wine shop is featuring a choice of six-packs that cater to both the classic and avant-garde palate. This year's Classic 6-Pack Includes: German Gilabert Rosato Cava (Rosé/Sparkling) - This is a special project custom made for Jose Pastor. The wines comprised of mostly of Trepat, a local varietal, and some Garnacha.
