Intermediate Adult Digital Photography Class in Mountainside, Sept. 22

Session will review basic photography concepts, but majority of time will be spent shooting photos. Class costs $45 for county residents, $55 for non-residents.

The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Department of Parks and Community Renewal encourage adults, ages 18 and older, who are interested in learning intermediate digital photography to attend a special workshop led by Joan Pamboukes on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Trailside Nature & Science Center in Mountainside. This workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fee for Union County residents is $45 per person; $55 per person for out-of-county participants. This article first appeared in Patch in December of 2011 but for anyone still working on crafting the perfect picture card (me!) here we go again! If you’re like me, you have a love-hate relationship with the holiday card. I love to receive them, I hate creating them. Well, hate is a strong word. But let’s face it, it can be daunting. No matter how prepared I try to be, each year it seems somewhere between buttoning everyone's shirt (correctly) and trying to find my camera, one of my children loses a prominent tooth, contracts chickenpox or cuts off most of his hair.
