Dog is at Westfield Police Department
A Westfield police officer located the above-pictured dog in Tamaques Park Tuesday evening. The dog, male and advanced in age, is currently being housed at the Westfield Police Department. Anyone with information about his owner is asked to call 908-789-4000.

A cocker spaniel was found in Kenilworth on Saturday. The dog is male, well-groomed, trained and knows basic commands. His owner is actively being sought. He is currently being fostered by several families who wish to see the dog reunited with his owner rather than sent to a shelter. The dog does not have a chip and appears to be in very good health. Veterinarians from the surrounding area, local police and pet stores have been contacted in the hope that someone has called looking for their pet but so far no owner has come forward. A lost dog was found at Carol Road and Lynn Lane this afternoon in Westfield. The dog, who was found without tags, is currently at the Westfield Police Department. Westfield Police will take care of the dog, who appears to be a beagle mix, for the remainder of today. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Westfield Police Department at 908-789-4000.

Update: The yellow lab who was found by a Westfield resident Tuesday afternoon in the vicinity of Lynn Lane and Carol Road is still missing his owner. The dog, whose tags are missing, is male, in good health and most likely under two years old, according to the resident who was caring for him initially. The resident brought him to the Westfield Veterinary Group and though the dog has a locator chip implanted, the dog's owner was unable to be determined. The yellow lab is currently being cared for by another Westfield resident, who is hoping the dog's owner will be located soon. Louie, an all-black mutt who resembles a thin black Labrador, disappeared Monday evening from 705 Clark St., where he was staying while his owners are out of town.
