Christopher Academy Helps Give Others a Head Start

School collected books and included a letter or drawing for K.I.D.S.

The following is a press release:  Students at the Christopher Academy Montessori School campuses in Westfield and Scotch Plains were busy at work with their community project this past week. The school community has been busy collecting books for K.I.D.S (Kids in Distressed Situations) and the new book collection will go to a new Head Start program in New York. The children throughout the school have been learning about giving back to the community and every child wrote a letter or made drawing to follow each new book to its destination at the Head Start. “In our Montessori classrooms we create a feeling of community with respect for each and every person, and this community created by the children goes beyond the boundaries of the …
