The Westfield High School Key Club worked together to create a Winter Wonderland for children to enjoy on Saturday, Dec. 15. The annual event, which featured an exciting morning of holiday crafts, carnival games, and delicious refreshments, raised $600 for the Plainfield chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
High school students and faculty spent their day off doing some good.

Some students go to Disney World when school is closed for Teachers Convention in November. Instead, 11 students from Westfield High School went to Plainfield to participate in a building project for Habitat for Humanity. The students are among more than 40 members of the Habitat for Humanity club recently started by WHS social studies teacher, Tricia Iannuzzi. Last year Iannuzzi applied for the Teacher's Fellowship Program with Habitat, and was one of 10 teachers chosen from across the United States to participate in a week-long build in Murfreesboro, Tenn. “I was interested in this particular program because the goal was not just a volunteer program for myself, but was designed to assist teachers in obtaining the tools necessary to …

It is great to see WHS students supporting Plainfield Habitat for Humanity by helping one of their building projects. Congratulations to the WHS social studies teacher, Tricia Iannuzzi, who started the WHS Habitat for Humanity club recently.
