Street fair features live music, games and food from 20 vendors.
Downtown Westfield will once again be transformed into a festive open air market for the 19th annual Spring Fling sponsored by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Approximately 300 local merchants, including 20 food booths, will set up shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5. More than 45,000 visitors are expected to come out to enjoy music, crafts and family fun. Last spring's event included rides for children, a hot dog eating contest and even a flash mob. Attendees should save room as WindMill will once again challenge fair-goers to see how hot dogs they can down in two minutes. The contest begins at 1 p.m. at the Main Stage. Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to read this letter of introduction. I have just taken over the position of Executive Director of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce and want our members to know about my intentions to facilitate the Chamber's success. My role is to support the Board of Directors in pursuing the Mission Statement, as defined in our 5-year Strategic Plan. Our more immediate goals and objectives center primarily around brand identity, positioning the Chamber, and making sure that we have a healthy membership base from which to realize talent equity. The rain-or-shine event is sponsored by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
Downtown Westfield will usher in the arrival of autumn with its 23rd annual FestiFall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. The street fair, sponsored by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce, is expected to draw approximately 45,000 people. While similar to Spring Fling, this will be a fall-themed event, complete with all-day live music, food vendors, kid’s rides and demonstrations from the Taekwon-Do Center and No Body Denied Gym. There will also be a ‘surprise show’ at 2:45 p.m. near the stage so be sure to be in that neighborhood to catch a peek at this not-to-be-missed performance.
