Cranford Police Arrest Westfield Man For Drug Possession

The following information was obtained from the Cranford Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A routine motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of a Westfield man on drug charges, according to the Cranford Police Department. On April 16 at 1:56 p.m., Officer Spencer Durkin stopped a 1993 Chrysler in the area of Centennial Avenue and Cranford Hall because the occupants were not wearing their seat belts. After a brief on-scene investigation, Officer Durkin found that an occupant identifed as William M. Lundy,27, of Westfield, was allegedly in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. According to police reports, Lundy was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, as well as CDS paraphernalia.
