Members of the Westfield High School Marching Band will be holding a Car Wash Fundraiser at Edison Intermediate School from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, weather permitting. The band is already hard at work with daily rehearsals preparing for the 2012 season, but will be taking a break from music and marching on Thursday afternoon to fundraise for the upcoming trip to the National Championships in Annapolis on Saturday, November 10. The WHS Marching Band will compete against approximately 30 high schools from across the country at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. From boot camp to a book signing, there's plenty to do today in Westfield.
Kick off the day with a free trial boot camp. Starting at 9 a.m. in Tamaques Park, BootCampWF is offering a chance to sample a class before the second spring session starts on April 30. A multi-family garage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 26 Sandra Circle. Westfield High School students will be washing cars starting at 9:30 a.m. at the high school.
