The Westfield High School PTSO would like to thank the students and faculty of WHS, the Westfield Memorial Library, the Westfield Rotary Club and the community for their support of the Fine Arts fundraiser held on March 3. The birdhouse silent auction successfully raised more than $1,200, which will be used for the purchase of new art easels at the high school. This year’s fundraiser featured 35 unique birdhouses, crafted by students and faculty of Westfield High School. The students and faculty volunteered to create these one of a kind birdhouses during their own spare time. In cooperation with the Westfield High School Art Department and the Rotary Club of Westfield, the WHS PTSO is hosting a unique fundraising event just in time for spring. A silent auction of 35 birdhouses, hand-crafted by WHS students and one teacher, is currently ongoing. The creations are on view at the Westfield Memorial Library in the Teen Zone area located on the first floor. Pre-bidding, opened in early February, will be accepted via email through Wednesday, Feb. 29. The starting bid on each house has been set at $15 and bids increase in a minimum of $5 increments.
