The school is entitled to some control over the learning environment in its building. Students areRead More to keep cell phones in purses or lockers during the day. If its out, teacher takes it,, it goes to the office and kiddo can get it at the end of the day. Not too difficult and the students learn that sometimes you have to follow someone else's rules. It won't kill you.

That depends on the school. Some schools are very lax and look the other way on to many issuesRead More including this one. Yes, The schools should get more involved what is going on during the school day. Once you allow this to happen for one group of kids you have to continue to do it for all the kids. You can't pick and choose who you want to call the police on. The police should always be called if something like this is going on during school hours. If it is happening after hours then the parents and the police should be involved. To many schools look the other way for only certain kids and it is not right. That is where the law suits come in.

God bless the proliferation of tutoring centers. Our taxes pay teachers to show up at work and thenRead More they really teach when it comes to the after school jobs. BTW should I send in my Abbott check now or flush the cash down the toilet-Same Result.

No, This is a joke. Just because someone graduates college for who knows what doesn't mean they areRead More smarter than someone who did not attend college. A lot of useless degrees that jobs are hard to come by. Just because a poll taken shows jersey has 34.5 pct who has degrees doesn't mean they are smart. The polls taken and what and how they come up to determine what they do is ridiculous.

We have to make people aware that our State is run by public employee Unions and we need court casesRead More like today which ruled that the California Teacher Tenure rules are unconstitutional so that we can change laws and vote people out of office who do not represent the interests of the public who pay the taxes.

Something that is interesting to note is that high school grads are going to four year universitiesRead More and studying subject that isn't marketable. While on the other hand you have people getting vocational training at vocational schools that essentially guarantees them a job out of school that will make them 'x' amount of money. So it isn't that college degrees are worthless, some are. It is also said that sometimes trade school is the right choice!
