Westfield Mayor and Town Council
The Westfield Town Council is the legislative body of town government. Consisting of eight council members, with the mayor as the presiding officer, the Council meets weekly to discuss and vote on ordinances and policy issues. Council members are elected to four year terms with two members representing each of the towns four wards. Elections are held in odd number years with one ward representative being elected each election. Council members each serve on two committees and are liaisons to various advisory boards in the community. Six members are Republicans and two members are Democrats, with the mayor being a Republican.
