The Department of Public Works is an umbrella department for four agencies: the Building Department, Engineering, Planning and Zoning, and Construction and Maintenance. The department handles maintenance of town infrastructure, issues building permits, removes snow and debris from roads, operates the recycling center, and handles land use issues for the community. The department also works with the county, state and federal governments on infrastructure issues.

Does anyone care about the huge pot holes in our streets? When will they be fixed? Will the big ones be attendedto first ,rather than the few little ones I've seen patched on Park Street? Our neighbor towns have started already.
