The cheese pie is edible especially if you have a coupon. Not the best in town, not the worse either.

Last year, I left the restaurant and did not come back for another year due to one simple reason: poor and dumb waitressing, and taking forever to fill orders, even when the place is empty. First, the pizza hit the floor. Second, no glasses to drink from. One waitress didn't seem to know how to compose a takeout order or make out the receipt. On and on. This ineptitude was incongruous with the excellent decor, cleanliness, and well-prepared and tasty cuisine. However, poor and inept service is just that. So I waited a year and came back this year. Service is now a bit better, but I can tell these waitresses lack experience as well as some common sense, such as refilling a water pitcher and such. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and try again.
@Julia. I hear what you're saying and I totally understand where you're coming from. I too remember "Mama" walking around greeting us and other customers back in the day. That woman was a total love! God bless her. However, I'm not so sure one can call this false advertising/lies. The new owners PURCHASED the business and, in doing so, kept the name. In fact, they may even have kept some of the same employees on board. And, they maintain that same thin-crust tomato pie recipe, just like "Mama" used to serve. It's not the same as one place moving out entirely, a new lease being signed for a similar, but different, business, and then the making of such a statement. In purchasing the name/business, the new guys were also purchasing the recipe book and history. Think of it this way... The New York Yankees are more than 100 years old. The guys wearing the uniform today were not around more than 100 years ago but they can still say they are part of a 100 year-old team. Or, as Jerry Seinfeld would say, the players change all the time but the shirts stay the same from year to year.
News Flash to the Westfield Community!!! This False Advertising/Lies makes us Very Very Angry!!! These current owners of Sorrento's purchased the business/building a mere 6 years ago! Before that had never been in the restaurant business! How dare them say they have served the community for the past 50 years! They have been in business for only 6 years!!! It was the original owners who served the community for 37 years! Do the Math!

Not sure what is going on with these other reviews. I know Sorrento's has a sign outside right now saying they are celebrating 10 years in business (not 50, like some others here are commenting about)
As for my review, Sorrento's has the best pizza in town in my book. The tomato pie is unique and the thing crust pizza is crispy. I haven't had their dinners, but I can vouch for the pizza.
