What's happening this week in Westfield?

Stop & Shop Hearing: Stop & Shop Supermarket is seeking final approval on Thursday evening to demolish two properties they have purchased to expand the parking lot of the store, as well as redesign the interior of store. The proposed expansion would bring the existing 24,860-square-foot sales floor to roughly 41,000 square feet. The renovations are also estimated to close the location for five months. In May and June two public meetings were held to discuss the expansion. A look at Thursday's agenda, here.

Co-Working Event: Get out of the house if you work from home and meet others at Blue Sky Cafe on Monday for a co-working event. Co-workers receive a free cup of coffee and a price-fixed $5 breakfast for any breakfast on the menu. The event is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Nosh and Nurture: The event is held at the Robert Treat Deli on Tuesday at 6 p.m.. For more information contact 908-233-1517.

Jazz it Up: The Carla Virola Trio will perform at Jeffrey's of Westfield. The jazz sounds kick off on Wednesday from 7p.m. to 9 p.m.

Holiday Concert: The Westfield Recreation Department their 23rd Annual Holiday Concert featuring The Westfield Community Concert Band along with The Edison Intermediate Broadway Singers. The concert is on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Edison Intermediate. 

Harmonics Quartet: The Quartet will perform throughout Downtown on Thursday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Holiday photos with Santa: Gallery U Boutique will host an evening of holiday music, treats and  complimentary photos with Santa Claus on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Holiday Drop and Shop:  Drop the kids off at Just Bead Yourself while you hit the Downtown Shops. The event begins on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Just Bead Yourself. 

Lunch With Santa: All children will receive a goodie bag and have an opportunity to speak with Santa on Saturday at Jeffrey's in Westfield. A two-course lunch is $17 per child and $20 per adult. To reserve a spot, call (908) 232-4517.

Gift wrapping: The Westfield Historical Society will host a holiday gift wrapping fundraiser throughout Saturday and Sunday at Lord & Taylor.
