MLK Interfaith Service, Free Financial Fitness Workshop This Week

The following events are happening this week in Westfield.

Dr. Martin Luther King Interfaith Service: The 27th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Interfaith Service will start at 1 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El and will be preceded by a march of the willing from the Dr. King monument on the South Ave. side of the circle. Marchers will leave from the monument at 12:15 p.m. and march to the Temple.

Special Planning Board Meeting: A special Planning Board meeting is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2014 in regard to Stop & Shop and Red Star Holdings.

Mommy & Me Reading and Beading: Just Bead Yourself is hosting a Pinkalicious Storybook Reading & Jewelry making on Monday at 10 a.m. Each child will create pink bracelet or a pink beaded bookmark, while moms or caregivers create their own earrings.

Tree of Life Necklace making: On Monday at 11 a.m., visitors of Just Bead Yourself can create a "Tree of Life" pendant using wire and gemstone chips to use for a necklace. The class includes all materials and classroom use of tools.

Financial Fitness 2-Day Class: Increase your financial IQ! A free two-day class on financial planning and understanding money will be held at Westfield High School on Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. View a video of what the presentation is about, here.

Renew Parking Permits: Parking Services Office will be open on Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to renew parking permits. More, here.
