Gallery U Grand Opening, Charter Bus to NYC This Week

Daily Van to NYC? One Westfield resident is looking to charter a daily van for a group of about 15 residents to take directly to Grand Central Station. Learn more about the costs and reasons why this could help your commute into midtown with Patch this week.

Meetings: The Westfield Council will hold their official meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. On the agenda is several single-family dwelling demolitions and grant applications for the improvement of Westfield and Lawrence Avenues.

Sept: 23: Girls Gymnastics vs. Union (Home) at 4:30 p.m.

Sept. 24: Girls Soccer vs. Oak Knoll (Home) at 4 p.m., Field Hockey vs. Montclair (away) at 4 p.m., Boys Soccer vs. Cranford (away) at 4 p.m. and Girls Tennis vs. Summit (away) at 4 p.m.

Sept. 25: Girls Tennis vs. Union (Home) at 4 p.m. and Girls Gymnastics vs. Johnson (Home) at 4:30 p.m.

Sept. 26: Field Hockey vs. West Essex (Home) at 4p.m. and Boys Soccer vs. Monroe (away) at 6 p.m.

Sept. 27: Girls Tennis vs. Livingston (Home) at 4 p.m.

Sept. 28: Field Hockey vs. Cranford (away) at 11 a.m. and Girls Soccer vs. Bayonne (Home) at 1 p.m.

GWACC Networking: The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking happy hour at AVE Union on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Register online at www.westfieldareachamber.com. A $10 donation is suggested for current members and $15 for prospective members.

Gallery Grand Opening: Gallery U will hold a grand opening at 6 p.m. featuring and art display and refreshments. The new Gallery is located at 439 S. Avenue West and is an extension of Universal Institute Rehabilitation
