Elections: Westfield voters will take to the poll on Nov. 5. Find your polling place and read more about the candidates, here

Also, there is a bond referendum for residents to receive a $2.7 million reduction in tax dollars for the school district roof projects. It will be Public Question #3 on the ballot.

On the ballot for the Board of Education, current members, Ginny Leiz, Mitch Slater and Brandon Gilligan are running uncontested for their seats. Challenger, Jonathan Blitt, withdrew his candidacy earlier this year, stating, " I will commit to run for a position on the board as soon as I can give it the time and dedication that it requires."

Sports: Nov. 4: Girls Soccer vs. Watchung Hills (Home) at 4 p.m., Field Hockey vs. Bridgewater-Raritan (away) at 4 p.m. Nov. 5: Boys Soccer vs. Columbia (away) at 4 p.m. Nov. 6: Girls Volleyball vs. Absegami (away) at 4 p.m. Nov. 9: Football vs. Scotch Plains (home) a 2 p.m.

9th Annual Jewish Film Festival: Multiple movies will be screened at the Westfield Rialto from Oct. 23- Nov. 19. Each day a new film will show at 7:30 p.m.

Franklin School Book Fair: The Franklin School PTO is hosting an Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser that will feature an Ancient Egypt-themed “oasis.” Monday hours are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday hours are 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday Night Meditation: Evolve Restorative Therapy is hosting its weekly Reiki Group Meditation circle on Thursday. De-stress from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Cost is $20 per person.
