Art Exhibit, Divorce Documentary, Mediation This Week

This week's Westfield events.

What's happening this week in Westfield?

Rock N’ Rec:
The Westfield Recreation department kicks off rock classes on Monday at 4 p.m. The program is open to children ages 7 and up. Beginning to Rock, Guitar 101 and Drum Circle programs are offered. For more information or to register, visit www.westfieldnj.gov/recreation.

Meetings: The Westfield Planning Board will meet on Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Board of Adjustment will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

GWACC Networking:
Join the GWACC at Gallery U Boutique to pass business cards and network. The event is open and free to new and prospective members. Contact Jackie Walters at jwalters@westfieldareachamber.com for more information.

The History of Curling:
The Westfield Historical Society’s Wednesday luncheon at noon will be a presentation of the history of curling in the U.S.

Contemporary Art Exhibit:  
Gallery U Boutique in Westfield will be presenting a special exhibition of artwork by members of the Contemporary Art Group. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. and the exhibit will run until Feb. 6.


DivorceCorp:
The Westfield Rialto will be screening the documentary, DivorceCorp, about the $50 Million dollar family law industry that is Divorce on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Learn more, here.

Zen Method Intensive:
On Sunday at 9 a.m., Harmony Mediation will offer the program ‘Zen Method Intensive’ where participants will practice a method to open the channels in their physical bodies.

A Spot of Tea:
The history, customs and display and descriptions of teas will be presented at the Miller-Cory House Museum on Sunday at 2 p.m. Visitors can also experience a tour of the 1740’s farmhouse.
