Barclays Ticket Purchase Benefits the Westfield United Fund

Follow your favorite golfers while helping a local charity.

Call it a hole in one for the Westfield United Fund. PGA fans who buy tickets to The Barclays using a code provided by the WUF will see 75 percent of their purchase price benefit the locally-focused organization.

Deirdre Gelinne, executive director of the WUF, explained how the partnership came about.

"I heard about the opportunity from one of our Board members who is involved with the Barclays tournament, so I applied to be a participating charity," she said.

This year, the event which showcases the talent of the top 125 on the PGA tour, will be held from Aug. 20-25 at Liberty National Golf Course in Jersey City. To buy tickets and donate 75 percent of the purchase price to the WUF, visit www.buytfc.com and click on The Barclays. Enter the WUF code: HOOK13 in the password box.

Over the last 75 years, the WUF has distributed more than $25 million within the Westfield community through its member agencies. In the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy, the WUF collected and donated $18,000 to help six local families whose homes were destroyed.
