Press Release: Doles Makes Eagle Scout

Rising WHS senior renovated St. Paul's storage rooms as project.

Brian J. Doles, a member of Boy Scout Troop 273 of Jefferson School in Westfield, recently earned the highest honor in Boy Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award. Only 4 percent of all Boy Scouts attain this honor.

Brian‘s Eagle Scout project consisted of renovating two storage rooms in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for the Flower Guild and the Christmas Pageant. He oversaw a group of volunteers who cleared out the existing space, repainted the rooms, constructed and installed shelves and storage bins, and organized the new storage space.

Brian would like to thank all those who donated time, materials and hard work to complete this project.  Brian would like to thank the St. Paul’s staff, including Father Andrew Hamersley, Judy Jessup and Jill Sitcer who offered their assistance and time. Brian would like to thank all his friends and fellow scouts who helped paint and assemble the shelves. A special thanks to Westfield Lumber who graciously donated all of the paint used in the project.
