Union County's Most Dangerous Roads

There were a total of 33 pedestrians killed in the county during a recent three-year period.

There were 33 pedestrian fatalities in Union County, most of which occurred on Routes 1&9, during a recent three-year period, according to a report released by the Tri-State Transportation Campaign.

Six people were killed on Routes 1&9 between 2009 and 2011, the report said. There were a total of 14 pedestrian deaths in the county in 2009, declining to 10 in 2010 and nine in 2011.
