Why Are You Running the Pizza Race?

Runners explain their motivations.

This year's Pizza 5K had the largest turnout ever with over 2,500 runners filling the streets of downtown Westfield and north side residential neighborhoods. Westfield Patch talked with runners filling Elm and Quimby streets before the race started to find out why they chose to participate in the largest non-corporate 5K in New Jersey.

"I am running the pizza race since I run it every summer. It's an awesome Westfield community event. I was a part of the cross country team in high school. There is a good turnout every year." Ross Tucker
