Westfielders Give Muhlenberg College Men's Lacrosse Team a Boost

Michael Carpetto and Ryan Bohrod helped improve their school's record by four wins over last season.

Westfielders Michael Carpetto and Ryan Bohrod were instrumental in helping their Muhlenberg College men's lacrosse team improve over last season, according to the Pennsylvania college.

A senior, Carpetto started all 15 games and scored a career-high 17 points on 7 goals and 10 assists, according to a press release from Muhlenberg College. He also tied for third on the team with 40 ground balls and was fourth with 10 caused turnovers. Carpetto completed his career with 34 points on 18 goals and 16 assists, ranking seventh on the program’s all-time list with 143 ground balls.

Bohrod, a freshman, played in 10 games as a faceoff specialist and reserve shortstick midfielder. He won five faceoffs, picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers, according to his college.

Playing inthe Centennial Conference, one of the strongest conferences in Division III, the Mules finished the season with a 6-9 record, a four-win jump from the prior season, and defeated two teams that were ranked in the top 20 at the time the games took place.
