Westfield Crew kicked off its spring season this past weekend by competing in the Manny Flick 3 Regatta in Philadelphia, PA.
Tristan Orr and Jordan Hindes started off the day with a spirited second place finish in the Men’s Novice Double heat.
Rounding out the novice category were Will Harmer, Kevin Law, Isaac Amador and Blake Fallon placing fifth in the Men’s Novice Quad event.

Taking fourth place in the Men’s JV Quad race were Ben Howell, Alex Zornitsky, Alex Schneider and Chip Pipala.
David Adsit, Drew Mellusi, Mike Paone and Matt Lazzarotti finished out the men’s events by pulling hard for a fifth place finish in the Men’s Varsity Quad heat.

Logan Schwartz, Alex Colucci, Abbey Wilson and Amanda Christian powered the Women’s JV B Quad to a third place finish, quickly followed by the Women’s JV A Quad rowed by Melanie Snyder, Emily Simpson, Sarah Sarkos and Helen Keating who finished fourth.
In the Women’s Lightweight Double event Charlotte Dreizen and Katie Eliades made a strong showing by finishing fifth.
The Women’s Varsity Quad consisting of Sara Hoerrner, Marissa Jennings, Jenny Amador and Sandy Choi gave a robust performance and placed second in their heat.
Next weekend Westfield Crew is participating in back-to-back regattas: the North Jersey Championships in Leonia, NJ and Manny Flick 4 in Philadelphia.
