Westfield Takes on Union in Union County Finals

The 59th Union County Tournament baseball final starts at 2:30 p.m. at Williams Field in Elizabeth.

Third-seeded Westfield (15-3) will take on eighth-seeded Union in the Union County Tournament baseball championship at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at Williams Field in Elizabeth. 

Westfield and Union, rivals from the Union County Conference's Watchung Division, have faced each other twice earlier this season. Union won the first matchup, 11-6, on April 5 and Westfield took home a victory upon their second meeting on April 29, 12-4. 

In the near six-decades that the tournament has been held, Westfield and Union are the two winningest teams. Westfield holds 12 titles, its most recent won in 2006, while Union has eight.
