PAL White "C" Team Beats Bloomfield

Players played strong game for 19-6 win at Kehler.

A strong running offense and a fourth quarter interception helped
put Westfield White "C" team ahead of Bloomfield 19-6 at Kehler Stadium.
The first drives of the game produced no points for either team.  However, a
punt return by Nick Mueller put Westfield in range and Chris Varano went 22
yards on a sweeper for the touchdown.  Vincent DiFilippo carried the ball in
for the PAT putting Westfield ahead 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Westfield defense came out strong in the second quarter with Calvin
Vincente, Hopper Murray and Liam Heinbokel forcing Bloomfield into negative
yardage and forcing a turnover on downs.  Westfield's second touchdown of
the game started with an 11-yard gain by DiFilippo and a 5-yard scramble by
J.D. Marner.  Marner then took the ball down the sidelines for a 56-yard
dash just short of the end zone.  DiFilippo took the ball in for 6 points.
Westfield did not convert for the PAT.

White defense also dominated in the third quarter, with Justin
Dudzinski, James Bohlinger and Nick Mueller delivering key tackles and
forcing Bloomfield to turn the ball over.  The fourth quarter started with a
52 yard punt by DiFilippo that was downed deep in Bloomfield territory by
Mueller, both of whom played strong defense through an ineffective
Bloomfield drive.  Dylan Scott, Ben Meltzer, Sam Pastuzyn, and Jack
Ciarrocca lent fourth quarter offensive support.

With little time left on the clock, Parker Hess jumped for an
interception and took the ball in for Westfield's last score of the day.
Owen Colwell delivered a big tackle for a loss on Bloomfield's last drive,
but Bloomfield broke open for a long run into the end zone for six points.
Jack Cash helped put a stop on Bloomfield's attempt at the PAT.   White's
offense was on the move when the game ended with a final score of 19-6.
Westfield travels to Marlboro next Sunday for its last regular season game.
