WHS Students Say Bienvenue to French Exchange Students

French teachers Mme Hoffmann and Mr. Davis arranged for 33 visiting students to stay with Westfield families this week.

Westfield High School French students Liz Griesmer and Meaghan Fleck welcomed visiting French exchange students from Neuilly-sur-Seine, a suburb of Paris, for a one-week exchange program.

French teachers Mme Hoffmann and Mr. Davis arranged for 33 visiting students to stay with Westfield families this week. In return, the Westfield students will stay with the French students' families over their spring break. Many activities have been planned for the visiting students. In addition to shadowing Westfield High School students throughout their school day, the visiting students will spend some time sightseeing in New York City.

Two parties will be held in the homes of Westfield students on Tuesday and Friday evenings. The exchange provides an opportunity for the students to experience daily life and culture in another country from a teenager's perspective. The program is open to high school juniors and seniors who study French.
