Sonya Khedr, a Westfield High School senior, was selected to appear on the cover of Prom Guide magazine's 25th anniversary issue, according to NJ.com.
Khedr, who found out about her win earlier this month, was chosen from applicants across the country. The 18 year old discovered the contest on Facebook, posted her photo and secured enough votes to make it to the final five. That group then participated in a photo shoot in New York City.
The model, who has appeared as an extra on the popular CBS program 'The Good Wife,' according to the report, not only won the coveted cover spot but also received a college scholarship in the amount of $5,000.

Khedr told NJ.com that she was "so excited" to be chosen for a cover "that's going to be sold in so many stores — over one million copies.”
The national magazine is aimed at helping high schoolers prepare for their proms by offering information on everything from prom dresses and shoes to tuxedos and limos. The issue featuring Khedr is available in book stores.
