Who's Among the Highest Paid in the Westfield School District?

Contracts were approved and renewed for the 2013-14 school year.

The Westfield Board of Education recently approved multiple six-figure salaries for administrators within the Westfield school district for the 2013-2014 school year.

Among the highest paid are Dr. Margaret Dolan, superintendent of schools, and Dana Sullivan, business administrator and board secretary.

Dolan will receive a salary of $167,500 plus a merit pay stipend for the upcoming school year and will receive $25,108 in merit pay for the 2012-2013 school year.  

Sullivan will be paid a salary of $168,135 for the 2013-2014 school year and she will also receive $7,500 in merit pay for the 2012-2013 school year. 

Dr. Michael Weissman, assistant superintendent for pupil personnel services, will receive a salary of $153,573.

Paul Pineiro, assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and programs, also had his contract renewed for the new school year and will be paid a salary of $145,371. Barbara Ball, a human resource specialist, will be paid $122,848.

Derrick Nelson, Westfield High School assistant principal, will receive a bump in pay after receiving his doctorate. His 2012-2013 salary was adjusted from $114,128 to $117,128, and rose to $122,353 for the upcoming school year. As Nelson has been deployed to Afghanistan, he will be paid through July 15, 2013.

A salary adjustment was also made for McKinley School Principal Marc Buinno, whose salary rose from $112,090 to $117,185.
