Westfield Teacher Speaks At Last N.J. Tech Conference Of The School Year

Westfield Public School's Master Technology Teacher for grades 6 through 12, Adam Pizzi, gave a presentation about how the school district tackles technology and education at the NJ Educational Computing Cooperative’s (NJECC) latest meeting.

According to a press release from Westfield Public Schools, the NJECC is a time for Instructional Technologists to come together and share highlights from the current school year as well as their own teaching tactics.

At the meeting, Pizzi spoke on how he and Master Technology Teacher for Kindergarden through fifth grade, Jeanine Gottko, enhanced the districts educational experience through the support of a new website, google apps, and launch of a new Summer Institute for teachers.

It's the student centered learning model that Pizzi said guides the district’s technology initiatives, according to the press release.

"As one of Westfield's instructional technologists, I was honored to address a group of educational leaders and teachers at NJECC on how our district is meeting the challenges of 21st century teaching and learning, and to summarize our accomplishments and milestones," Pizzi said in the release.
