The Westfield School District again is reminding residents that the remaining roof improvements to the Westfield Public Schools will be underway this summer, with some projects starting as early as Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
The buildings scheduled for roof work include Franklin, Jefferson, McKinley, Tamaques and Wilson Elementary Schools; Edison Intermediate School; Lincoln School; Kehler Stadium, and the Board Administration Building.

While safety measures will be in place at the construction sites, parents are urged to use caution when bringing children to and from the school playground areas and to ensure their children do not enter any construction sites or playground areas that have been closed. Any questions regarding the summer playground program should be referred to the Westfield Recreation Department.
Business Administrator Dana Sullivan noted that it is expected that the roof work will not result in interruptions to the start of school on September 3, 2014.
