The safety experts reviewed emergency plans and provided additional recommendations and answers to questions from school principals.

The focus of the first meeting of 2013 of Westfield School District administration was school safety.

Often a topic of discussion at the monthly meetings of supervisors, principals and school district central staff, the January 3 meeting included a discussion with Westfield emergency personnel.

The safety experts reviewed emergency plans and provided additional recommendations and answers to questions from school principals. Since Superstorm Sandy and the Connecticut school tragedy, Dr. Dolan has been in steady dialogue with the police and fire chiefs.

“I invited them, along with the First Aid Squad, to address our school leaders so that we all can be better prepared to provide safety and quick response to our students and staff,” explained the Superintendent. “I am so very grateful for the full cooperation that all of our first responders give to our schools.”
