In June three Westfield High School teachers were honored by the Westfield Board of Education for receiving Teacher of the Year awards.
- Bob Brewster, Science teacher, is this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.
- Rose Calimano, Spanish teacher, received Westfield High School PTSO’s Outstanding Teacher Award.
- James Hart, Industrial Arts teacher is the 2014 winner of the Robert and Linda Foose Memorial Award for Excellence.
Board President Richard Mattessich presented certificates to the teachers, who were previously honored at Westfield High School’s Awards Night on May 22.
Principal Peter Renwick spoke of the dedication, commitment, and care that the teachers demonstrate in their profession. Receiving congratulations from Mr. Renwick (far left) and WHS PTSO Co-Presidents Marie Sloan and Ruth Maloney are Rose Calimano, James Hart and Bob Brewster.
