Westfield Board of Ed Policies Available Online

At Thursday evening's organization meeting of the Westfield Board of Education, vice-president and policies committee chair Rosanne Kurstedt announced that many of the Board's policies are available online.

Approximately one-fifth of the Board's policies are available by visiting the district's website and then clicking on the School Board tab. When the dropdown menu appears click on Board Policies or click here to view the page.

Kurstedt said there close to 500 policies in all and each is being reviewed to "ensure that it is representative of how the district is run" before it is posted on the site.

Policies and regulations are divided into 10 categories. Within each section listed are individual policies and regulations (when applicable) that pertain to that subject area.

Should a resident want to see a policy that is not currently available online a request can be made to view that policy by contacting Rosemary O'Shea in the Superintendent's Office, roshea@westfieldnjk12.org 

Board members thanked Kurstedt and other policy committee members for their work in reviewing the policies and adding them the site.
