Westfield Area Y Preschool Hosts Open House

The first Open House will be held at the Robert & Virginia Bauer Family Branch located at 422 East Broad Street

The Westfield Area Y is hosting two Preschool Open Houses on Saturday, January 12th. The first Open House will be held at the Robert & Virginia Bauer Family Branch located at 422 East Broad Street beginning at 10:00 am and ending at Noon for parents with children as young as age 2 ½.  

Tours of the Preschool classrooms will be given and questions regarding the various Y Preschool programs, curriculum and schedules for the 2012-2013 school year will be answered by certified staff. 

The second Open House is for Cranford Residents only at the Preschool at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue in Cranford from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm for children ages three and four. Westfield Area Y Preschool Programs incorporate “The Creative Curriculum for Early Childhood” into their daily lesson plans.

The most important goal is to help the children become enthusiastic learners and encourage them to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Creative Curriculum content areas include: Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Technology, Healthy Habits and Character Development.
