Tonight's Board of Education Workshop Session Canceled
Leiz postpones meeting because of absences.
The Board of Education workshop meeting has been canceled.
A school district spokeswoman said Ginny Leiz, the board president, made the decision to cancel the meeting because several members had informed her that they would be unable to attend tonight. Because the meeting was going to be a workshop session, where issues are discussed in-depth, Leiz decided to cancel the meeting rather than go ahead with a smaller group.
The next meeting of the Board of Education is scheduled for June 30 at board headquarters.
