Tamaques School Breaks Ground on Outdoor Classroom

June's grand opening ceremony will coincide with Tamaques' 50th anniversary celebration.

Tamaques Elementary recently celebrated the ground breaking of its Outdoor Classroom, the first of its kind in Westfield.

The grand opening ceremony, to take place in June in conjunction with Tamaques' 50th Anniversary celebration, will represent the culmination of a multi-year collaboration between the faculty, staff, Board of Ed, parent volunteers like Greg Blasi of Palimpsest Architectural Design in Westfield, and construction company Salamone Development.

The entire Westfield community will be invited to attend the festivities. Coupled with the expanded Tamaques School Garden, spearheaded by Frank Fuzy, the Outdoor Classroom will provide a unique, multi-sensory learning environment for students.
