Simply the Best: State Champion Swimmers Parade Through Westfield

Annual tradition continues Sunday.

The trophy may have been presented in Ewing Township, but the party was statewide Westfield High School girls swim team celebrated all the way home and around town.

Following tradition, the team's bus and a presidential motorcade length of cars met-up at the Bally's parking lot in Clark to parade through town. Led by police cars and fire trucks, including one driven by, the honking cars and cheering swimmers paraded through the north and south sides and downtown before ending up at WHS, where Mayor Andy Skibitsky and members of the Board of Education officially welcomed them home.

This is the third time a parade was held to honor the team, with parades being held following the 2008 and state championships.
