The tentative 2014-2015 $99.5 million budget calls for $88,967,333 to be raised through taxation, an increase of $606,656 over last year's $86,360,677 spending plan -- or an increase of 3.02%.

Because a portion of the increase comes from banked adjustments from prior years, school officials say the tax levy is at state adjusted CAP.

A public hearing and final adoption on the spending plan is scheduled for the Board of Education meeting of April 29.
