Children’s Specialized Hospital Offers a Parenting Workshop Series

“Managing Your Child’s Challenging Behavior”

Starting this October, Children’s Specialized Hospital is hosting a parenting workshop series titled, “Managing Your Child’s Challenging Behavior” in Mountainside.  Sessions will be held on Thursdays from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. in the auditorium at Children’s Specialized Hospital, 150 New Providence Road, Mountainside.  Sessions start on October 27, and continue through November 3, 10, 17 and December 1 and 8. A follow-up session will be held on January 5. The cost is $105 and preregistration is required.  Child care is not available.

These seven week sessions are lead by a member of Children’s Specialized Hospital’s psychology department and will help parents understand the causes of misbehavior, setting limits, managing sibling conflicts, developing and implementing a reward system and offer a parent self-care and support system.
