Bob Wischusen: Anne Hale Series Speaker

            The final talk in this year’s Anne Hale Speaker Series will take place at Assembly Hall, Westfield Presbyterian Church, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. when Bob Wischusen, who grew up in Westfield, will speak on “Living the Dream.” 

            Wischusen is the radio voice of the New York Jets; he also provides play-by-play action for ESPN.

            Wischusen , now a Cranford resident, is a graduate of Union Catholic and Boston College. After a stint from 1993 to 1995 as a talk show host and anchor for a Miami station, Wischusen spent five years with WFAN-AM. He then joined MSG Network in 2000 and cohosted “Talk of Our Town” from 2002-2003.  He also called Rangers and Knicks games for MSG Network.

            Wischusen’s work for ESPN includes calling college football and basketball games, as well as Arena Football League contests.

            The talk is open to the public. Pre-registration is required, either by calling 908-789-4090, extension 7951, or signing up on the library’s website at www.wmlnj.org and clicking Online Calendar.  The Presbyterian Church is located at 140 Mountain Ave., Westfield.
