Students were struck by a car in front of Edison Intermediate School Thursday morning.

Two students were hit by a car at approximately 7:50 a.m. Thursday on their way to Edison Intermediate School. Both were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The following message was sent to parents by Edison Intermediate School Principal Matt Bolton Thursday afternoon:

Dear Edison School Families,

Both students are doing very well. One student has already returned to school.  The other student is expected to be released from the hospital shortly and plans on returning to school tomorrow.

Mr. Duelks and I have addressed all of the students during their lunch period to let them know that their classmates are doing well, and to remind them to be extremely careful while crossing all streets.

Finally, the families of both students and I would like to thank you all for the many well wishes and positive thoughts that have been conveyed since the accident. Please have a wonderful, and safe, holiday break.

All the best,

Matt Bolton
