Christopher Academy Hosts Workshop on Value of Montessori Education

Dr. Montessori insisted that the classroom environment reflect the child's natural needs to learn.

The following is a press release from Christopher Academy:

Christopher Academy will begin its 50th year celebration with a workshop on the Montessori method and philosophy on January 29, 2013 at 7:30 at our Westfield campus. We encourage all parents to attend this workshop on how Montessori education differs from traditional education; what are its benefits, and how the child learns “naturally” in the Montessori classroom.

Over a century ago, Dr. Montessori devoted her life to the education of children while revolutionizing the field of early education, insisting that the classroom environment reflect the child’s natural needs to learn. Her research was developed by observation and demonstration, and it is being proven correct today through brain research and study of the children as they mature.
