Brief: Dolan to Host School Budget Town Hall Thursday

Superintendent plans two forums on budget.

Schools Superintendent Margaret Dolan will hold a town hall meeting on the proposed school budget on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. in cafeteria B at . This is the first of two town hall meetings Dolan will be holding on the subject.

During the forum, Dolan will make a presentation on the proposed $93.1 million spending plan and answer resident questions. The budget was by the Board of Education in an 8-1 vote.

The forum was announced in an email from the Westfield High School PTSO Tuesday morning. The email also included a list of talking points regarding the budget.

The second town hall meeting is planned for the morning of April 21 at 9:15 a.m. during the weekly meeting of the Parent Teacher Council. The meeting will be held in the BOE meeting room at 302 Elm Street.

The schedule for this year's town hall meetings is a change from last year's, when Dolan held the two and forums on the same day and held the morning forum in the larger auditorium at Edison Intermediate School.
