BOE Announces New Legislation Committee

Cary to chair newly created committee; Kurstedt appointed new head of policy committee

As the Board of Education continues to reshape itself in the weeks after the , new president Richard Mattessich announced membership adjustments among some of the board's existing committees, as well as the creation of an entirely new one.

The BOE will be adding a legislation committee in an attempt to ensure that the board is "marshalling all of the resources [it has]," Mattessich said during Tuesday night's meeting.

BOE member Ann Cary will chair the committee, he said. The legislation committee will also include Vice President David Finn and BOE members Rosanne Kurstedt and Ginny Leiz.
